Affordable personal trainers in Singapore

The short answer

On 23 October 2026, 6 Fit Titans coaches charged a flat S$60 to S$80 for a 60-minute 1-to-1 session, with no membership or package needed, and 3 more had a band starting at S$50 to S$80. The cheapest prices elsewhere came with a catch: Genesis Gym's S$60-S$100 is sold in blocks of 10, Fitness First's S$76 needs a membership from S$200 a month, and StringsSG's S$84 needs 50 sessions. Sharing a coach costs less (pairs from S$55 each, small groups from S$35), and lower rates here mostly mean newer coaches.

What does an affordable personal trainer cost in Singapore?

About S$50 to S$90 for a 60-minute 1-to-1 session with the lower-priced independent coaches on our roster, and S$35 to S$65 per person if you share the session (S$65 was the most common pair rate on our roster on 23 October 2026). Elsewhere, a low headline price usually comes with a catch: a large prepaid package, a gym membership on top, or a venue the trainer is not allowed to use. Fit Titans publishes this page and is a row in it. The other rows are gyms, studios and mobile agencies that publish a per-session 1-to-1 price on their own site, read the same day; listicles and marketplace ads were left out because their prices carry no date or source. Freelancers on marketplaces such as Carousell also advertise their rates; if you book one, check the credential and the venue rules below first. The rows are not like for like: a gym's price may need a membership, and a package's lowest rate needs the whole package bought upfront. Anytime Fitness clubs set their own prices; on 11 October 2026 two of them listed 3-session starter packs for S$195 and S$200, and none listed a regular rate. Every chain that publishes a rate, with memberships, is in gym personal trainer prices.

Which of our coaches charge S$80 or less?

Six charge a flat S$80 or less, and three publish a band that starts at or under S$80 but can go higher, as read on their own public profiles on 23 October 2026. Each sets their own rate and can change it; the cards on this page and the pricing page read the live roster, and show the lower figure of a band. A coach with a band confirms which figure applies to your sessions in writing before you book.

Verified on Fit Titans means we checked the coach's certification against the issuing body, confirmed experience with the goals they coach, followed up references and assessed how they coach in person before they took a client. That applies at every rate: a S$60 coach went through the same checks as a S$200 one. Where first aid is not listed, ask the coach for a current certificate before the first session.

Why do some trainers charge less?

Mostly experience. Of the nine coaches above, seven list three years or fewer on their profiles, one lists five and one does not say. A newer coach with a recognised certification can suit a beginner who needs the basics taught well. Someone with an injury, a medical condition or a competition date is usually better served by a coach with that experience on record.

Price and experience do not line up perfectly, though. Ben lists 20 years and Faisal 17, and both start at S$90; Rita, with ISSA and a sports science qualification and 7 years, charges S$90. Mobile coaches also pay no gym rent, which is part of why their rates sit below a chain's. That saving holds only while the venue is free: your home, your condo gym or a park.

When is it worth paying more? For a diagnosed injury after physiotherapy, a medical condition or a competition date, choose by the qualification and experience on record rather than the price alone. On our roster the specialist courses run from Stom (Elderly Exercise Specialist, 3 years) and Terence (Rehab Exercise and Therapy Specialist, 1 year), both at S$60, to Daniel (ACSM, a low back pain course, 7 years) at S$200. Ask any of them how many clients like you they have coached.

How do you bring the cost down without a worse coach?

  • Share the session. On 23 October 2026, pair rates on our roster started at S$55 per person and small groups of 3 to 6 at S$35 per person; S$45 per person was the most common small-group rate. See buddy training and small-group training.
  • Buy a pack once the fit is right. Packs of 10, 15 or 20 sessions take 5, 10 or 15% off the coach's rate, paid upfront: a 20-session pack with a S$60 coach is S$1,020. Packs are optional, and the first session is a paid trial at 10% off, so you never commit to a pack before training once.
  • Train once with the coach and once alone. The coach writes the programme and you run the second session yourself, at an ActiveSG gym (S$2.50 entry for an adult citizen or PR, on Sport Singapore's rates page updated 25 August 2026), your condo gym or a park.
  • Use a free venue. Your home, your condo gym or a park adds nothing. A private Gym Pod for barbell work is paid separately: its pricing page lists $6, $9 or $12 per 30 minutes by time of day, and says rates vary by pod.
  • Ask about daytime slots. Some providers price off-peak lower: StringsSG takes S$10 off weekday sessions from 10am to 5pm. Our coaches set their own rates, so ask whether a daytime slot changes yours.

For comparison, 8 sessions at Fitness First's lowest published tier cost from S$608, plus its membership from S$200 a month on a 4 or 12 month commitment, so from S$808 a month; at Virgin Active's regular rate 8 sessions are S$936, and at Genesis Gym S$480 to S$800 once you have bought a block of 10. The fuller picture, including premium studios, is in the personal trainer cost guide.

What should a cheaper trainer still have?

  • A certification from a body you can look up, such as NCSF, ACE, NSCA, NASM, ISSA, ACSM or IFPA, not only a course title.
  • Current first aid and CPR.
  • A written price per session, and the per-session price inside any package offered.
  • A venue they are allowed to use. ActiveSG's Rule 13 bars coaching or personal training in its facilities without prior written approval, and SAFRA's by-laws bar private coaching at its EnergyOne gyms. A cheap rate quoted for those gyms may not be allowed; use them for your own sessions only.
  • No pressure to prepay a large package before your first session.

Are there free options if a trainer is out of budget?

Yes. The Health Promotion Board runs free MOVE IT workout sessions with community partners at malls, parks and community spaces across Singapore, with schedules in the Healthy 365 app. HealthHub's guideline of 150 to 300 minutes of moderate activity a week plus two days of muscle strengthening can be met with brisk walking and bodyweight work. A middle way is a handful of coached sessions to learn the main lifts, then training alone with a written plan; personal training for beginners covers how to use them.

How do you get matched with an affordable coach?

Tell us your area, your goal and the most you want to pay per session. We send you a shortlist of coaches at or under that rate who cover your area, with their profiles and credentials. The first paid session is 10% off that coach's rate. You pay by PayNow against an invoice, sessions you have paid for never expire, and 24 hours' notice moves a session at no charge. Not the right fit after your first paid session? Tell us within 7 days and we re-match you with another coach, once per client.

Questions.

What is the cheapest personal trainer in Singapore?

On our roster on 23 October 2026 the lowest flat 1-to-1 rate was S$60 a session, from two coaches, and one coach's band started at S$50 (S$50-S$90); 6 coaches charged a flat S$80 or less. Shared sessions cost less per person, with small groups from S$35 each. Gym chains published from S$76 (Fitness First, membership needed) to S$117 (Virgin Active) the same day.

Is S$60 a session too cheap for a good trainer?

Not by itself. Check the certifying body and the years on the coach's profile, and book one session before any pack. On our roster the coaches at S$60 are mostly newer, and two of them focus on seniors' strength and rehab exercise.

How much is a personal trainer per month on a budget?

Twice a week with a S$60 coach is S$480 for four weeks, or S$408 on a 20-session pack. One coached session a week with a S$80 coach plus one on your own at an ActiveSG gym (S$2.50 entry) is about S$330.

Can I share a personal trainer with a friend to save money?

Yes. On 23 October 2026, pair rates on our roster started at S$55 per person and small groups at S$35 per person. Each coach publishes their own shared rate on their profile.

Do I need to buy a package to get a low rate?

Not with us: every rate on this page is for a single session, and packs of 10, 15 or 20 take a further 5, 10 or 15% off. Elsewhere the lowest published rate often needs the largest package; StringsSG's S$84 is on 50 sessions.

Can a cheap freelance trainer coach me at an ActiveSG gym?

Not without ActiveSG's prior written approval, under its Rule 13. Use the gym for your own sessions and train with your coach at home, in your condo gym or at a park.

Published . Each coach sets their own rate, confirmed before you book.
