Typical rates
| Format | Typical per-session | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1-to-1 (mobile / gym) | S$90 - S$130 | The bulk of the market |
| Buddy / small group | S$50 - S$70 / head | Split the cost with friends |
| Premium studio | S$150 - S$200+ | Facility, brand, add-ons |
What drives the price
- Trainer experience and specialisation: rehab, prenatal and sports-specific coaches command more.
- Format: 1-to-1 costs more than buddy or small-group per head.
- Pack size: bigger commitments lower the per-session rate.
- Location: a few providers add a surcharge for far-flung or restricted-access venues.
- Add-ons: nutrition coaching, InBody scans, physio or massage.
How to lower the cost
Three easy levers: buy a larger pack for a lower per-session rate, train with a buddy or small group to split the cost, and skip the gym membership by training at home. Our own pricing follows exactly this, transparent per-session packs with no membership and a buddy rate.
Is it worth it?
A trainer is worth it if accountability, technique and a plan are what you're missing, which for most people is the real gap. If you're weighing it against a gym membership or going it alone, read our personal trainer vs gym comparison.
