What Is Included in a Personal Training Package?

Written by the Fit Titans coaching team (NCSF / ACE / NASM / NSCA certified) · editorial policy

What is included in a personal training package: programme, pack discounts, no expiry, PayNow, the 24-hour reschedule rule, and what is excluded.

People ask this almost word for word: apart from the coach turning up for an hour, what do I get? Here is the full list, including the parts that are not included, so the number you pay matches the thing you buy.

TL;DR

A package is a pack of 10, 15 or 20 sessions at 5%, 10% or 15% off your named coach's 1-to-1 rate. Each session is 60 minutes at your home, condo gym or outdoors, with a fitness assessment and a personalised programme, and the coach brings the equipment. Sessions never expire, you pay by PayNow against an invoice, 24 hours' notice moves a session free, and the first paid session carries a re-match or refund guarantee. Physiotherapy and dietitian meal plans are not included.

Key facts

  • Packs of 10, 15 or 20 sessions take 5%, 10% or 15% off that trainer's rate
  • Each session is 60 minutes including warm-up and cool-down
  • Paid sessions never expire; there is no use-it-or-lose-it date
  • Payment is by PayNow against an invoice, with no card on file and no auto-renewal
  • 24 hours' notice reschedules a session at no charge
  • Re-match or refund within 7 days of the first paid session, once per client

What do you get in the session itself?

A 60-minute 1-to-1 session, including warm-up and cool-down, at your home, condo gym or an outdoor space, with a certified coach who brings the equipment your space is missing. The first paid session follows a free consultation and fitness assessment, and the programme is written for you from that assessment rather than pulled from a template. Buddy and small-group sessions run the same way with the per-head rate set by the coach.

What comes between sessions?

A programme you can follow on the days your coach is not there, and a coach who answers questions about it. The exact shape of the support between sessions varies by coach, which is why we say confirm it at the free consult rather than promise a fixed script here. What you should expect from any coach on our roster is a written plan for the week, a log of what you lifted and for how many reps, and a straight answer on WhatsApp when you ask whether to swap a session or how to eat around a Sunday hawker lunch.

  • A personalised programme: built from the free assessment, updated as you progress.
  • Between-session work: what to do on your own days, scaled to your kit at home or in the condo gym.
  • Progress tracking: sets, reps and load logged, so the numbers show the change before the mirror does.
  • General nutrition guidance: within a coach's scope, which means protein, portions and hawker choices, not a clinical diet.
  • Check-ins: how often and through which channel is agreed with your coach at the consult.

What is not included?

Anything that needs a clinical licence. Physiotherapy is a partner service, not part of a training pack; if you need diagnosis or treatment we refer you and then coach inside the physio's plan. A dietitian's meal plan is likewise outside a coach's scope; a coach can guide portions and food choices but will not prescribe a therapeutic diet. Gym entry at paid venues such as ActiveSG or a Gym Pod is paid by you and confirmed before booking, and a few coaches add a travel fee beyond a stated radius, which appears on their profile. The injury rehab page explains where coaching stops and physiotherapy starts.

How do packs and discounts work?

Every coach sets their own 1-to-1 rate and publishes it on their profile. A pack is a discount on that number, confirmed before you pay: 10 sessions take 5% off, 15 take 10% off and 20 take 15% off. There is also a trial session at 10% off that coach's first session if you want to test the match before committing to a pack. The typical 1-to-1 rate in Singapore is S$80-S$130 and the full roster runs S$45-S$210, so the table below is an illustration, not a quote.

20 sessions15%S$85S$1,700

How do you pay, and do sessions expire?

PayNow, against an invoice sent before the pack starts. There is no card on file, no recurring billing and no automatic renewal; when a pack runs out, you decide whether to buy another. Sessions do not expire. If you travel for work, get sick or are posted overseas for reservist, the remaining sessions wait for you, which is deliberately different from the use-it-or-lose-it terms most gyms and studios write.

What is the reschedule rule?

Give your coach 24 hours' notice and the session moves at no charge. Inside 24 hours it is chargeable, because your coach has set the time aside and may already be on the way from Bishan to your block in Pasir Ris. Genuine emergencies and illness are handled case by case rather than by the rule.

How does pricing work for couples or a friend?

Per person, at a rate the coach sets and confirms before you book. Buddy and small-group sessions of two to six people start from S$45 per person on our roster, and the same pack discounts apply. Both of you get the same 60 minutes and the same programme attention; the coach simply runs two plans in one session. Buddy training explains how it works when the two of you are at different levels.

What does the guarantee cover?

Your first paid session with a coach. Tell us within 7 days of it that the fit is wrong and we re-match you with another trainer or refund that session in full, once per client, with no justification needed. It exists so that trying a coach is not a gamble. For how that compares with a gym or a freelancer, see is a personal trainer worth it.

Frequently asked

Does a personal training package include a diet plan?

It includes general nutrition guidance within a coach's scope: protein targets, portions and sensible hawker choices. It does not include a dietitian's meal plan or a therapeutic diet, which need a licensed professional and are outside what a trainer should prescribe.

Do my sessions expire if I stop for a few months?

No. Paid sessions stay yours with no expiry date and no use-it-or-lose-it deadline, which is deliberately different from most gyms and studios in Singapore. If you travel for work, get injured, have a baby or go for reservist, the remaining sessions in your pack wait until you are ready to restart, and you pick up with the same coach.

How much is a 10-session pack?

5% off your named coach's 1-to-1 rate, multiplied by ten. At a S$100 coach that is S$950. Each coach sets their own rate, so we confirm the figure before you pay.

Can I pay by credit card or in instalments?

Payment is by PayNow against an invoice before the pack starts. There is no card on file and no recurring billing. If a smaller pack suits your budget, start with 10 sessions or a trial session.

What happens if I cancel a session on the day?

Inside 24 hours a session is chargeable, because the coach has kept the slot and travelled. With 24 hours' notice it moves free. Illness and genuine emergencies are handled case by case.
