The short answer

Yes, a personal trainer can coach you in a Gym Pod.

  • The Gym Pod sells plans to trainers who bring their own clients.
  • On its pricing page on 3 Nov 2026, a 30-minute slot cost S$6 from 11pm to 6am, S$9 from 6am to 5pm and S$12 from 5pm to 11pm, and S$1.50 for each extra person per slot, though The Gym Pod also says many pods let you bring a certified trainer at no extra charge.
  • A 60-minute session is two slots, so the pod adds S$12 to S$24, or up to S$27 if your coach is charged as a guest, on top of the coach's rate, which for most of our coaches is S$80 to S$130.
  • The pod fee is yours and is confirmed before you book.

Key facts

  • Pod slots are 30 minutes: S$6 (11pm to 6am), S$9 (6am to 5pm) or S$12 (5pm to 11pm), and rates vary by pod (3 Nov 2026)
  • Each extra person adds S$1.50 per slot on the pricing page, though The Gym Pod says many pods admit a certified trainer at no extra charge
  • A coached hour costs S$12 to S$24 in pod fees, or up to S$27 with a guest fee for the coach, before the coach's rate
  • Gym Pod bookings are rescheduled in the app, not cancelled, and a late arrival or no-show is not refunded

Can a personal trainer train you in a Gym Pod?

Yes. The Gym Pod runs private gym rooms booked by the half hour in its app, and it sells a Gym Pod Trainer Subscription to trainers who bring their own clients, priced inside the app.

Its personal trainer page calls the pods personal-trainer friendly and says many of them let you invite a certified trainer at no extra door charge. That is why a pod comes up when your condo has no gym or your usual gym says no to outside trainers.

The Gym Pod also sells personal training of its own. A Fit Titans coach is separate from that: you book the pod as a venue and your coach comes to it. Neither page says whether a trainer must hold the Trainer Subscription to coach inside a client's booking, so your coach confirms how the slot is booked before the first session.

What does a coached hour in a Gym Pod cost?

Two parts: your coach's rate and the pod. The pod charges per 30-minute slot by time of day, and each extra person in the booking adds S$1.50 per slot, per The Gym Pod's pricing page on 3 Nov 2026.

S$102
  • S$90 coach's rate, the S$90 median
  • S$12 pod for 60 minutes (2 x S$6)

Many pods admit a certified trainer at no extra door charge (its personal trainer page), so any guest fee depends on the pod. Rates also vary by pod and location. Check the app's price before you confirm.

Train with a friend and your friend adds S$3 an hour in guest fees, alongside the per-head buddy rate. If you also train on your own between sessions, The Gym Pod sells subscriptions, such as S$69 a month for 10 sessions, with 20% off further sessions (3 Nov 2026). New users get 50% off their first booking in the app.

Who books and pays for the pod?

You pay for the pod at The Gym Pod's own rate. Gym entrance fees are separate from coaching. Fit Titans may cover 50% for selected sessions under your package or a promotion. The amount is confirmed before anything is booked, never added afterwards, and your coach's session rate stays separate and is set by that coach.

Book the pod for the number of people who will be inside, your coach included. The Gym Pod's rules ask every booking to state its party size and treat going over it as misconduct. The app shows any guest fee before you pay.

When is a Gym Pod worth it over home or your condo gym?

Start at home or in your condo gym, which cost nothing extra. A pod earns its fee in four cases.

Home or condo gym

Book a Gym Pod

  • Heavier lifting: loaded free weights and cable work. Pods differ, so check the list in the app
  • No gym where you live, or a condo gym that limits guests
  • Privacy, with nobody else in the room
  • Late or early hours: 11pm to 6am is the cheapest band at pods open overnight, which suits shift workers

Disclosure: Fit Titans earns from coaching, not from The Gym Pod, and is not affiliated with it. Most of our clients train at home or in a condo gym, so we suggest those first.

What happens on the day?

Four steps, from booking to leaving the pod on time.

A coached session in a Gym Pod
  1. 01Check the kitEach pod is fitted differently. The Gym Pod's FAQs list the equipment per pod in the app, so send your coach the pod name.
  2. 02Arrive early5 to 10 minutes before. The person who booked opens the door from the app's Home screen.
  3. 03Train by the rulesWorkout clothes and covered shoes. No slamming weights.
  4. 04Leave on timeClean up and finish on the hour. Overstaying breaks the rules and the cameras are monitored.

What if you need to move the session?

Two sets of rules apply: The Gym Pod's for the pod booking and ours for the coaching session. The pod's two pages word its rules differently, so check the app for your pod.

Moving a coached Gym Pod session, counting back from the slot
  1. 24 hours beforeCoach noticeOur rule: at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a confirmed session. The pod lists a S$2 fee to reschedule within 24 hours, free for subscribers.
  2. 2 hours beforeLast pod rescheduleIts FAQs: reschedule in the app, not cancel, at least 2 hours before.
  3. Within 1 hourA no-show countsA no-show within 1 hour without prior notice counts as completed and comes off the package.
  4. The slotLate or missedArriving late or missing it is not refunded.

Where are the Gym Pods?

Across the island, in parks, malls and business districts. Pods we listed in July 2026 include Punggol Park, Pasir Ris Park, East Coast Park and Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, Buangkok Square Mall and Changi City Point, Bukit Timah Shopping Centre and Holland Village Park, and Boat Quay in the city.

Pods open and close, so the app is the current list. Coaches by area are on our Punggol, Pasir Ris, East Coast, Bishan and CBD pages.

What should you tell us when you message?

  1. 01The pod you wantIts name, or your area and we suggest the nearest.
